Biography
Peacock Taylor is the founder and executive director of Proof of Life Community Development Corporation (PLCDC), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
PLCDC provides governance and oversight for Keep Lake Como Beautiful (KLCB) a coalition of residents, community associations, and partners working together to eliminate crime, litter, illegal dumping, and bulk waste in Lake Como. As the Program Director for KLCB, Peacock organizes public safety events, educational programs, and volunteer opportunities to build a resilient community where residents invest time, energy, and resources. She strives for a future where optimism thrives, and residents have control over their surroundings, adapt to changes and create a stronger, safer, more connected Lake Como.

Peacock believes that proactive community involvement can attract a more diverse group of participants to community gatherings, which are essential for building social cohesion. By including more diverse voices, these gatherings can collectively redefine democratic spaces, leading to a more inclusive and stronger community and neighborhood in the long term.

Peacock resides in Lake Como-- on ancestral property-- with her husband of 33+ years, Taylor H. Taylor Jr., and their dog Nneka. In her spare time, she enjoys being a foodie, gardening, exercising, and appreciating bourbon.
